Dr. Motokubota
Dr. Moto, short for Motokubota, grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. It was during his UCLA years that he was able to combine his passion for helping animals with his interest in healthcare. He amassed many hours working in various animal hospitals under the guidance of veterinarians who nurtured and encouraged this passion.
Dr. Moto graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2014 with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Moto is a strong advocate for preventative care and has special interests in internal medicine and soft tissue surgeries.
Dr. Moto and his wife have two daughters and a new baby on the way. They share their home with a miniature poodle and a Pomeranian mix named Hershey. In his free time Dr. Moto loves spending time with his family and exploring local food spots.

Dr. Bruce Whitaker
Dr. Bruce Whitaker was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Cal Poly At San Luis Obispo for 1 ½ years before transferring to Colorado State University where he earned his DVM in 1982. Dr Whitaker completed a one year internship at West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in 1983.
Dr. Whitaker has been the medical director and owner of Newport Hills Animal Hospital since 1988. His special interest is internal medicine and he is very experienced in endoscopy and ultrasonography. Dr. Whitaker also has a special interest in treating brachycephalic breeds such as English Bulldogs and French Bulldogs. He has over 20 years of experience treating English Bulldogs and has been recognized and listed as a referral by several English Bulldog organizations.
Dr. Whitaker has two daughters. His interests include tennis and traveling with his wife.
Dr. Whitaker has two pets at home including a toy poodle named Coco and a tabby cat named Dexter.
Dr. Whitaker is available for appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Dr. Bill Lyle
Dr. Lyle graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree in Nutrition from the University of Arizona. He went on to Washington State University where he earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine. His special interests include internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Lyle has traveled extensively and has visited all seven continents. He has several pets and enjoys many hobbies including gourmet cooking and fine wines.

Dr. Jon Nauss
Dr. Jon Nauss graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He served as a Veterinary Corps Officer in the United States Army for five years before transitioning to general practice in Missouri and later, California. Since then he has become a leader in Integrative Medicine. He is certified in medical acupuncture, rehabilitation and physical medicine, medical massage and is a consultant in botanical medicine. Dr. Nauss has a passion for using integrative medicine to address chronic pain.
Dr. Nauss will begin receiving patients November19th, working Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays heading the chronic pain relief department at Newport Hills Animal Hospital addressing the individual needs of our patients and offering the best quality of life possible.
Although not native to Southern California, Dr. Nauss and his wife, Havalyn, and their children, Aurora and Zinnia, love their life here. They enjoy time spent at the ocean, exploring nature, and taking in live music. Dr. Nauss enjoys meeting new families and working together to ensure their pets live their best lives.
