Ultrasonography
Ultrasonography is one of the most valuable diagnostic tools available to a veterinarian.
This is a safe and painless procedure for your pet. The visuals created from this procedure are extraordinarly helpful in the diagnosis of many different ailments. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Whitaker utilizes our human ultrasound machine with color doppler to perform echocardiograms and abdominal scans for painless, non-invasive imaging. Our digital imaging system allows us to submit images of your pet for same-day consultation with a radiologist if required.

The advantage of this piece of equipment is that we never have to create an incision. Endoscopy is completely painless, non-invasive and has no side effects. Keeping objects pets can swallow in safe, out of way places is important for your pets safety. We have successfully removed everything from car keys to batteries!

Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.
Digital radiography provides more detailed images and allows us to zoom in, highlight, invert and evaluate multiple images simultaneously.

Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform an array of diagnostic tests that assist us in treating your pet. We can run blood chemistries, evaluate cytologies and perform urinalysis. We also perform in-house culture and sensitivities to confirm diagnosis and treatment with the most effective medications.
